Gent has taken an important step towards participating in the Champions' Play-offs by beating Zulte Waregem 2-0. Max Dean and Wilfried Kanga scored the goals for the Buffalo's.

What happened?

The match started with a drama, when a fan in the stands became unwell and had to be resuscitated. The players continued to warm up and the match eventually went ahead. Gent took the initiative after ten minutes, but it all went too slow to disrupt the organization of Zulte Waregem.

How did the match go?

The West-Flemish team did much better in the transition. With Ementa as a playmaker, they tried to counter quickly. Gent took over completely after half an hour and got chances thanks to the two most industrious Gent players on the field: Hong and Skoras.
