On Sunday, August 23rd, the Racing Gent site will transform into a blue and white football event for young and old alike. KAA Gent is organizing an extensive Fandag where the supporters take center stage. During this day, fans can meet players from the first team and get a rare look behind the scenes of the training complex.
Starting at 12 PM, the doors open for fans who can enjoy themselves with various football attractions. These include a Kidibul bouncy castle course and football darts. The KAA Gent Foundation, the Supporters Federation, and various partners are also present to shape the day. The club shop will bring the latest collection, while various foodtrucks and bars will provide food and drinks.
One of the absolute highlights of the day will be the exclusive tours through the training complex. Between 1 PM and 3 PM, supporters have the chance to visit areas that are normally closed to the general public. The official KAA Gent team bus is also part of this route. Those wishing to participate in the tour must pre-register in advance, as the number of places is limited.
Specifically between 2 PM and 3 PM, the focus shifts to the young Buffalo’s. The players from the first team will join for a large signing session. Fans can collect an autograph here or take a photo with their favorite star. At 3 PM, a special moment follows: the official inauguration of the newly renovated Racing Gent arena.
In recent weeks, hard work has been done at this location, as Jong KAA Gent will play all home matches there starting this season. The infrastructure has been fully adapted to the strict requirements of professional football. During the inauguration, supporters also meet the new chairman of Racing Gent, and the new main sponsor of the site will be announced. The day concludes at 4 PM with a sporting match between Jong KAA Gent and Racing Gent.
